2 Snappy Broads!!

This blog belongs to Mary and April. Two accidental friends who discovered that they had a whole lot in common including a secret passion for photography.

We take off for a day with no particular goal in mind other than to take pictures of the things that we find interesting. It's been a great way to relax and we've found surprises around every corner.

Mary's true interest is in winged creatures. As a "birder", she looks for opportunities to shoot her fine feathered friends and she's particularly good at capturing them in flight. She also has a terrific eye for making her photos even more etherial than what she spied through the lens. Mary owns a 35 mm shooter given to her by her father after her digital suffered an untimely death at the hands of a certain red-headed girl.

Mary splits her photog time between working at an international adoption agency and raising her two children. She also finds time to get dragged around her yard by her Golden Retriever, Amos and Mia, her Great Dane.

April's fortay is taking pics of the more abstract and structural components of common items. This way of looking at things is mirrored in her life and gives her continual insight into the thought that "not everything is what it seems". She owns a simple digital camera that she has been able to elicit some surprising images from and doesn't really need that digital Nikon anyway.

April pulls herself away from the lens long enough to work at a manufacturing facility and chase after her teenager. She shares her home with her adopted Yellow Lab named Fiona that she was lucky enough to get from Mary.
