Statue of Limitations
After a couple of weeks off, Mary and I decided it was time to go snap...or we would snap. We've had a lot going on indivdually and collectively with work and the passing of a great friend. Today almost didn't happen but the photo-Gods smiled on us and led us down a path that was unstructured and turned out to be fabulous.
We began the journey with a jaunt to a Greek oasis on the edge of the City of St. Louis. The Olympia Kabob House provided garlicky sustinence for our travels. As we traversed the city of Clayton in search of sculpture and statue, enjoying the brisk fall weather, we happened upon some surprising opportunities to get us back in the groove.
Mary was either highly amused or extremely polite in following me on my trip down memory lane when I managed to find something to say about everything we passed. I grew up in this area and my usual random thoughts were working overtime today, spilling out at every turn. It made the time pass and between jumping in and out of the car and following my thoughts, I'm not sure how Mary managed to keep up.
At any rate, we got some wonderful pictures of statues, sculptures and the like and had a lovely time - without limitations.
